DES'RAY: MUZIEK MET EEN BOODSCHAP

Vanaf het moment dat Des'ray bekendheid kreeg met 2 Brothers on the 4th floor, en ervaarde wat bekend zijn betekende en hoe het voelde, wilde Des'ray meer dan alleen maar een leuk liedje zingen. Het voelde fijn om positiviteit en inspiratie te kunnen doorgeven aan de mensen. Onze liedjes hadden dan ook meestal een positieve boodschap. Aldus Des'ray.

Het gevoel om iets te kunnen betekenen voor de wereld waar we zijn is sterker geworden en het heeft er dan ook toe geleid dat '2 Brothers on the 4th floor' weer hun stem laat horen in het land en zelfs in een wereldtournee.

Ook had Des'ray de wens om solo iets te mogen betekenen en dat is in 2010 waargemaakt doordat zij het muzikale gezicht van de campagne 'Samen voor een beter leven in Soedan' is geworden. Voor dit goede doel is een speciaal lied geschreven 'What about you' dat wordt gezongen door Des'ray.
